The Round Town Players are looking for.....
Directors and Perspective Directors:
The play reading committee is in full swing reading plays and looking for the perfect 2008 and 2009 season. If you would like to have a play considered for adult or children's theater with you as director please do the following:
Make your proposal to Barry Boyer who will order a reading script. bsboyer@earthlink.net
Include in your proposal:
1. The name of the play and author
2. Your name and credentials if you are a first time director
3. Your technical director's name
4. Your musical director if one is needed
5. Your estimated budget
6. A time frame that you would like to do the show (please be aware that we need to divide the time on the stage with 4 other shows so your request will be considered but we expect all directors to be flexible).
7. Your contact information: phone number and/or e-mail
Also to all Directors and to all who love theater and want to be more involved:
June Rippetoe, through Studio One, is teaching a course in theater tech. She is mostly looking at lights and sound for the theater.
It is almost impossible for June to do lights and sound for every show and so this course will give others the opportunity to learn and discover if you would want to be one of RTP's tech people. We are looking for older teens and adults. Call 477-2100 or 983-1125 for more information.
Who would benefit from this course:
Directors: So they will have more input for their shows
Technical or Production Coordinators: To plan and run the show
All theater people: To give you a well-rounded look at theater.
The class goal is to design, program and run the lights for Pinocchio
Congratulations to the following award winners:
The scholarship awards went to Emily Mill, Tiffany Shedenhelm and Peyton Nolan.
The Ortho Stambaugh award went to June Rippetoe and Kathy Steinhauser.
Marsha Gunther Schneider award went to Derek Taffe.
